A member asked:

Is a calcium level of 10.5 concerning? my albumim level is 5.1. in the past, my levels have been in the 9s. someone had mentioned my "corrected calcium" is 9.62 but i am not sure what that means. i also ate tums the two days prior to my blood test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All blood test results should be explained to you by the ordering doc to avoid confusion and questions. Was that someone a doc? Corrected serum Ca is what the Ca would be if the serum albumin was normal and is calculated. your albumins have varied in the past. Again have your doc explain . Good luck
