Blood sugar: Normal fasting levels are less than 125 non-fasting levels can be higher, so make sure you are testing it while fasted.

<100 w/o sx of hypo: If you are not a diabetic on meds or insulin, or with any symptoms of hypoglycemia such as hunger, sweating, palpitations or dizziness which are relieved by eating or drinking something. Your fasting blood glucose should be below 100 and nonfasting below 140.

Normal sugar: The answer to this question depends on whether a person is fasting or not. If fasting, then the blood sugar should be less than 100 to be considered totally normal. If 100-125, then the patient might have "pre-diabetes." if over 125, then the patient may have diabetes mellitus. However, medicines such as Prednisone (a steroid) can raise the blood sugar.

Normal blood sugar: Normal for non diabetic: 62-94 fasting; < 126 after meals normal for diabetic on medicine: 100-180 if pregnant:: 50-120. Units are mg/dl see my book 'endocrine and metabolic disorders, 4th edition" published by crc press 2009 for more details.
