My 2 year old accidentally at a cherry pit. should i be worried? we dont know if she chewed it or swallowed it. it was only one. is there anything i need to do?

Cherry pits should be small enough to pass through his digestive track. Immediate choking of similar sized items requires resuscitative measures such as back blows and chest compression in infants/toddlers. However obstructions can occur in the pyloric sphincter and intestines. Monitor his appetite and bowel movements and whether he gets a distended abdomen. If sudden changes, report to the ER

A small dice for fruit and soft vegetables is recommended. Avoid nuts and popcorn. At this age, there is a choking risk. Wat for signs of respiratory distress. Most likely, the pit will be digested and eliminated.
