: Vertical (straight), radial ( going outward from center) of the outer part of the knee near its blood supply. Edema means swelling- sub chondral means below the cartilage. This means some injury to the knee and has to interpreted in context with the reason you had the test. Have the ordering doc explain further. Good luck
