I'm not diabetic and my blood sugar is fine, but there are times where i will get the shakes so bad unless i eat something sweet or salty. my mom does to, but me more so. not overweight. i'm 5'6 135lbs. recent bloodwork was good. why does this occur?

You should see an endocrine doctor to see if there is another hormone that is an issue. There are other labs that an endocrine doctor can do that might not have been tested, like an adrenal issue, for example. So, see an endocrine doctor. Good luck!

It would be very helpful if you checked your blood sugar stat during those symptoms in order to document hypoglycemic episodes, if this is what they are.This will enable your MD,diabetologist or endocrinologist to do appropriate testing inorder to advise you. You may have a 6 hour glucose tolerance test which can also reveal reactive hypoglycemia caused by eating carbs provoking the episodes later
