When does flagyl and doxycycline start working for a pelvic infection? started both a day or two ago and im still getting a yellowish discharge. sorry to ask similar questions. it doesnt let me type all of the question that i want to ask. thank you?

Biologically, most antibiotics, including metronidazole and doxycycline, start to work within hours. Symptoms improve much more slowly; you should not expect improvement until at least 3-5 days after starting the drugs. For PID, pelvic pain and vaginal discharge usually are gone after 8-10 days, sometimes longer. No improvement by 2 weeks, usually means PID wasn't the cause of the symptoms.
