I am waiting to go for tests to confirm if i have thyroid disease or what. im suspecting it might be from covid. if covid caused thyroiditis back in march/april when i recovered from covid. would thyroid decrease in size without treatment?

The thyroid may be enlarged by inflammation as in thyroiditis and it could decrease in size with the resolution of the inflammation and that could happen with the immunity of the body without outside interference. However there is thyroid enlargement for other reseaons like in cancer of gandular enlargement when the thyroid is stimulated to for different reasons.
