A member asked:

Why do i always want sugar/dessert right after eating a meal? & why do i feel immediately exhausted after eating? i feel like i can barely keep my eyes open. is that normal? or should i be worried about this? my bloodwork has always been good?

I expect you're experiencing swings in your blood sugar from high spikes after eating sweets to low sugar after your body secretes insulin to lower the high spikes of your postprandial sugar. The sugar may transiently go below normal causing symptoms. The treatment is to avoid eating concentrated sweets. Also, after a meal your circulation is taken away from brain&sent to intestines causing drowsin
