A doctor has provided 1 answer

IFG: Hi. You have impaired fasting glucose (IFG) but mount a brisk insulin response to a caloric load. You're early in the type 2 diabetes process, probably in the "prediabetes" stage (you ARE prediabetic by IFG). Healthy diet & exercise should be your lifelong lifestyle. There are medicines that help prevent progression to type 2 diabetes as well. Talk with your doc. Good luck!
