A member asked:

I just got my results for hsv 1 and two and it says hsv 1- 48.50 (h) hsv2- it gives an arrow pointing to zero 0.90 - what does this mean? why does it say h? does it mean i have hsv1 right now? or does it mean i had it in the past?

Your result is 48.50. Zero to 0.9 is the normal (negative) range. As in a previous answer to a similar question, you have HSV1. If you are having neither oral cold sore or genital herpes sores, then probably you never will and your HSV1 will cause you no problems. As discussed previously, this is a normal test result shared with half the US population. If you ARE having symptoms, see a doctor.
