No HSV2 outbreak ever lasts more than 1-2 weeks, and herpes is not known to cause continuous urethritis. Many positive HSV2 blood tests are false; it depends on the numerical result. So you may or may not have HSV2; if you do, it isn’t the cause of your urethral symptoms. Find a doctor who understands HSV well, like an STD or infectious diseases specialist. Good luck.
