I was diagnosed with hsv2 a few days ago with an index 1.53. i asked if that could be a false positive and they said they did a confirmative test and it was a true positive. they only have my blood and urine. is it possible it was still a false pos?

If you have genital lesions and serology test (blood) is positive, you are truly positive. Of course, the definite diagnosis is either swab viral culture or DNA PCR.
