You should only take magnesium if your cardiologist says it is ok. You need to be certain you have normal kidney function so that you will clear the extra magnesium. You need to be careful as to how much you take as toxicity is possible. So, check with your cardiologist-there is likely a magnesium level on you already that can help determine how much, if any, you should take. Good luck!
