A member asked:

Is tetanus vaccine (boostrix) still effective 30-32 hours after exposure? what is the rate of successful prevention of tetanus in such circumstance?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

As long as you had a complete primary series in childhood, a delay of 32 hours will not reduce the booster effect/protection of this dose. I wouldn't worry about it. The wound area itself should still be monitored for signs on any infection that would not be related to tetanus.
