A member asked:

How many chest x-rays is too many and harmful to health? 50 a year? 20? 5?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The American College of Radiology recommends 100mSv in a lifetime which is equal to 1000 chest X rays or 25ct chest scans .A standing chest x ray is 0.1mSv. An average healthy individual can safely take this amount in a lifetime.
