For a bacterial chest infection, is zithromax better than erithromycin for a healthy 39 year old with no other health problems?

Not necessarily: The main benefit of zithromax over Erythromycin would be tolerability. Erythromycin can sometimes be a little harder on the stomach or be less tolerated. Both medications will effectively treat the infection, but zithromax would be better tolerated.
