This would depend on many factors, like the condition of your bowels (for example, how constipated you are at baseline), how well you metabolize the medicine, what you are treating with the medicine, etc. If your constipation continues, or if you are very symptomatic, you should let your doctor know since there are medicines to treat constipation. Constipation is a side effect of Bentyl, however the described length and intensity suggests a cumulative effect on baseline constipation, somewhat uncommon for 1 dose to cause it by itself.
