Was the cause injury or overuse? Symptoms are usually persistent. Perhaps you'd do well to see a specialist in sinus tarsi syndrome at the department of podiatric surgery at a university hospital near you to evaluate you & discuss treatment options. Hopefully conservative treatment will help as recovery from surgery is prolonged.

Sinus tarsi syndrome has many causes. One of the most common causes is overpronation. I’m trying pronation with a customer started controlling is the midterms of joint and left foot will help for acute problems. Injection of Cortisone is very responsive. When performed properly For acute problems.
