Diagnosed with plica syndrome. had physical therapy for 3 months...knee still hurts. should i consider surgery?

Surgery is an option: Plica syndrome is common and can be quite a problem. Therapy is a reasonable start. If therapy and NSAID haven't helped, an injection would be the next best option. If that fails to relieve your pain, an arthroscopic surgery is reasonable.

Possibly.: Surgery is possible. But make sure that you're being treated by a sports medicine orthopedic knee surgeon, who can make an accurate diagnosis.
