: Most will have mono sometimes in their lifetime &amp; many do in childhood when it is often minor &amp; similar to common viruses. If you are now symptomatic and have mono, the boyfriend has already been exposed enough to get it if not already immune. I wouldn't isolate yourself from him at this point.
