A few years ago i was dealing with constipation. now i've been dealing with hemorrhoids even though i've been eating high fiber foods and drinking lots of water. thoughts? treatments?

Hemorrhoids typically occur when there has been straining with bowel movements. So, your history of constipation likely contributed to the hemorrhoids. If you are having pain or itching related to them, there are over the counter remedies you can try, like preparation H or Tucks. If your symptoms do not improve or you notice bleeding, see your doctor for further evaluation. Avoid constipation, too

Asymptomatic hemorrhoids need no treatment. Others can be treated by Sitz baths, keeping stools soft, banding, injection or surgery depending on the findings and judgement of the surgeon.
