Last week, my teen child took laxatives and noticed dark brown chunks in the stool (diarrhea), this week we noticed a black speck in the stool (not diarrhea) after eating blueberries. are these connected, and something serious? or not a concern?

Black speck in seeming normal stool otherwise, not tarry or bloody stool, is hardly of concern.
