Is it true that tb requires hours to be contracted? could i have gotten it by talking to someone with tb, both unmasked, standing about a meter away, for 5 mins? or was that 0 risk situation? am now paranoid to talk to random people?

Yes typically it needs to be prolonged contact -serveral hours and very close. So your contact is not the way TB is spread.
