Possibly.: Hearing voices may be a sign of schizophrenia. It may also be seen as a result of certain drugs, and rarely of other conditions. A person hearing voices should consult a psychiatrist, since early treatment can considerably improve the prognosis. For most patients with auditory hallucinations, talk therapy alone is inadequate.
