Pheochromocytoma is a adrenal tumor that may present as diabetes in 23-33% OF patients. Glucose intolerance may be present in 50% of these patients .Pheochromocytoma is rarely associated with insulin- dependent diabetes .DKA -diabetic ketoacidosis has been reported in this tumor. The cause is not uncontrolled diabetes, but disturbed glucose and insulin metabolism is present. Catecholamine excess.
