A member asked:

My ultrasound read heterogeneous myometrium without evidence of discrete fibroids. i'm not sure what this means?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The appearance of the uterus is suggestive of fibroids but none can be identified. This is not unusual when fibroids, which are benign tumors, are small, but this could also simply be a normal uterine appearance subsequent to pregnancies. No follow up is required.
