My sister had two nodules & had a sonogram which 1 of the nodules came back suspicious. she ordered blood work & said most likely a biopsy will be done. can this indicate cancer?

That is the idea for the biopsy or fine needle aspiration to rule in or out malignancy, the majority of such nodules are benign otherwise.
