Hi, my 3 year old has a low fever once a day, mostly night, since becoming ill with a virus 2 weeks ago. crp was at an 8. dr did not give antibiotics. how long is fever normal for? symptoms: acute otitis media, coughing, sore throat & fever (37-38)?

Testing for COVID-19 is recommended. Treat the ear infection, follow up with your Pediatrician if not improved. The fever should improve within 48 hours of treatment typically. Strep infection should be considered and a test may be helpful. Watch for signs of rash,red eyes, swelling and breathing difficulty. .
