I had a colonoscopy a couple days ago and the doctor said they saw some of my small intestine. ive read that they dont go into the small intestine so is that right? im also still in discomfort l. is this normal?

Yes, distal ileum or last part of the small bowel is visualized during colonoscopy. However, many times the test remains non diagnostic and work up continues with other tests in order to delineate what might be causing your symptoms/discomfort. Your gastroenterologist remains your best resource at this point.
