A member asked:

Recently i had an upper endoscopy with biopsy. everything looked normal. the biopsy report says in ventricle antrum the mucus membrane is intact with partially discreetly reactive surface epithelium. what does this mean? thank you?

This is a non specific description and does not indicate any condition. and is best interpreted with the symptoms for which you had the procedure. Pl always have the doc doing a procedure or test explain it to you as they know the circumstances better than we in this forum

These pathology results sound essentially normal, although they need to be interpreted by the physician who did the procedure, who is the one who saw the mucosa of the stomach itself. You should return to see them if you have any further questions about the findings. Good luck.
