What does it mean when a meningioma calcifies?

It means the meningioma has calcium and this means that there is slow or abscent tumor growth. This is a good thing. It means that likely the meningioma does not need to be rmoved sugically on an urgent basis but can be watched over time with scans to see if it changes.
