Please explain left kidney collecting system: no hydronephrosis. other findings: 10 mm hyperechoic non-shadowing focus with twinkling artifact in the upper pole, which may represent a nonobstructing renal stone?

It means the left kidney is not enlarged and there is an abnormality that could be a kidney stone that is not blocking anything. A kidney stone that is not moving is not very painful and can be asymptomatic. The best person to interpret this test result in light of your clinical symptoms is the doctor who ordered the test. That doctor knows what they were looking for-perhaps see a urologist.

The left kidney is not obstructed but at its upper part may have a stone. In such cases a better test like CT is usually done. Suggest pl see a Urologist for care
