A member asked:

I have a 3 mm an echogenic focus possibly reflecting a nonobstructive left renal calculus without hydronephrosis- will this cause kidney damage or will by kidney function be off because of this?

Since it is a non-obstructing stone, it will not cause kidney damage and, if it is not moving, it may cause little to no discomfort. Your kidney function will not be affected by this stone. It is likely small enough to pass on its own. You can see a urologist to see if any other treatment is needed. Good luck!
