Saucepan started boiling vigorously and boiled over so fast i thought was going to fall apart - heavy mental fumes/ taste. can this cause cancer? the pan was still in one piece at the end?

One exposure is not likely to cause cancer long-term. What kind of metal is the pan made out of? What liquid was being boiled? These are all questions that determine what the exposure, if any, was. But, even assuming there was a heavy metal exposure, it was likely short-lived and very unlikely to cause cancer long-term. Good luck!
