I had a 10m polyp found in my colon last year, which was remived. my gastro doctor wants to do another coloniscopy this summer, one year after my last one. i've declined. no history of colon cancer in my family. am i wrong to decline?

If this was an adenomatous polyp and not a simple hyperplastic polyp,I think you're wrong in declining the repeat colonoscopy, especially at your age.

If the colon polyp was a pre-cancerous polyp (adenomatous), then the doctor would recommend to you the proper interval to be sure that it was completely removed and that no new polyps have developed in the meantime. You should follow the advised interval for your next colonoscopy. Good luck.
