I'm 38 & during a ct scan for a gyno issue, it showed a cyst on my spleen w/ peripheral calcification. they insisted it's probably from trauma & to ignore but i've never had any accidents or trauma to the area ever. what else could cause this?

Many medical conditions like parasitic infection- TB, histoplasmosis etc can also cause it besides trauma- if no trauma than the other causes can be investigated

Sent to ER for 105F fever, CT discovered fatty liver (non alcoholic), 18CM spleen, and 3CM splenic cyst. Cause of fever unknown, broke after 8 days (thought to be viral, fever decreased). Should I be concerned about the cyst? No known trauma prior.

Would ct scan show ovarian cyst? My gyno said it should show a large one. She wants to do a u/s so Im doing that this week. The biggest cyst I ever had was 4 cm. It was quite painful. That was years ago?
