My doctor prescribed me 200mg tabs of modafinil. i took the 1st dose and felt nothing for hoursno noticeable increase in concentration/mood/motivation/alertness, etc. how long does it take for these effects to start? is something wrong? thank you?

It often takes more than 1 dose for a medication to show the desired effects. So, continue to take the medicine as prescribed and if, after a week or so it is still ineffective, then call the doctor who is prescribing the medicine to discuss the effectiveness and alternatives if the medicine is not having the desired effect.
