It is certainly possible to be obese and not have high blood pressure. Hypertension is not proportional to body weight so if your blood pressure is 120/80 or less, you don’t have hypertension, regardless of body weight. More than one blood pressure reading is needed for the diagnosis so, if one reading is high, it is important to check it again at different times of day. Good luck!
