Yes, menometrorrhagia (a condition in which prolonged or excessive uterine bleeding occurs irregularly and more frequently than normal) is unfortunately a common side effect (1-10%) of depot provera shot. You should see your GYN doctor for this inconvenient side effect. Good luck.
