Light sensitivity has many possible etiologies. People with light colored eyes usually are more light sensitive than others, this is not progressive. The main cause I have seen is dryness of the eye surface, this is easily treated with over the counter lubricating eye drops. Cataract and inflammation inside the eye are less common causes but need to be evaluated.
