I have had constant, frequent, yellowish and soft stool for the last month. no abdominal pain, no jaundice. could ibs cause this? i have had a fair amount of anxiety lately and my doctor put me on librax?

Stool color comes is derived from the guts germ or enzyme action on the ultra-green bile added from the liver. Texture depends on the water removed from the feces, It changes from greens through yellows to browns depending on the time spent before it exits. Soft & yellowish is normal. We don't worry about or treat normal.

IBS, by definition, has to have been occurring for more than three months. If your loose stools have been present for less Time than that, then it is not due to IBS. Increase fiber in your diet, drink plenty of liquids, and see your doctor if your loose stools persist.
