I am pregnant. i got bloodwork done and it says i have low neutrophils. what causes that to happen?

That answer should come from the doc who ordered the test. Without knowing how low the numbers are it is not reasonable to classify the result as a simple variation or worrisome. Please discuss this with your doc.
