I was excited when losartan, the first ARB for treatment of hypertension was released. It was especially useful for patients that had side effects from ACE inhibitors. However,I found that in a number of patients,I had to prescribe it twice a day (every 12 hours) in order to attain good blood pressure control as opposed to later released ARBs.

Please take it as directed by your doc. It is difficult to self-diagnose how rapidly you metabolize drugs. Good luck
