A member asked:

I recently had an attack of choledocholithiasis and the symptoms lasted for a short period as the ercp was performed quickly. gallbladder also removed. now that it is fully resolved, is the liver likely to regenerate without permanent scarring?

Usually a common bile duct stone does not cause any long-term liver damage, as long as it is removed promptly. As long as your symptoms resolved and your liver test returned to normal, your liver should be fine. Follow up with your surgeon as recommended. Good luck.
