A member asked:

Would you say it is medically necessary to have braces for the following: moderate crowding in upper, mild crowding in lower, 50-60% deep bite and class ii molar and canine both rhs and lhs?

It may not be medically necessary for braces but dentally desirable after a consultation and x-rays with an orthodontist. If you are so concerned about your bite and appearance than an orthodontic intervention is appropriate at your age.

Without examination the best that Icahn suggest is schedule an appointment with a specialist Orthodontist. As an Orthodontist my job is to correct malocclusions, and what you describe indicates need for treatment.
