The lay term is "Tie your tubes" and in the earliest procedure that may have been done. Todays procedure includes cutting each tube, taking out a segment and stitching closed the resulting separate pieces. It is like you took a couple inches out of your garden hose, blocking the fresh ends and making sure the there is no way it can come back together. I wouldn't worry about it .
