A member asked:

If someone had contracted hiv from 7-9 years ago, and had no noticeable symptoms at time of the exposure or after. is it possible to be asymptomatic after that long? and white blood cells to be normal along with other blood test?

Most people infected with HIV for that long would have symptoms and would be seriously ill; some would have died of AIDS. But WBC counts say nothing at all about whether or not someone has HIV. An HIV test is necessary. Don't waste time on anything else: get tested.
