A member asked:

I have been taking 5mg of bystolic for 13 days and im concerned that it is causing gi issues. is it safe to cut the pill in half and reduce the dosage to 2.5mg to see if it reduces the stomach issues? im taking it along with 5mg lexapro for anxiety?

If bystolic is really the cause of your GI issues, cutting the dose in half will not make any difference. It will be more helpful if you let us know what your GI issues are and what condition you are taking bystolic for (BP, rhythm or heart condition). It will be more appropriate if you talk to the prescribing doctor. Good luck.
