Yes, regular isosorbide mononitrate lasts longer than isosorbide dinitrate but with one a day dose you have to use extended release formula. Use REGULAR isosorbide mononitrate for vasospasm prevention then you have to use twice a day, 7 hours apart (instead of 12 hours apart) for minimizing tolerance. Good luck.
