I would consider calling his doc to see if they have the penicillin injection available. Bicillin CR can be given at one time in a form that will cure strep. After one trip for this the kid may re-think refusing meds. You can mix amoxicillin with many juices but absorption is variable.

This is a common problem with many children. Consult with your pediatrician as what medication to mix with juice or any other liquid and the amount. Don't try to treat child until after consultation.

Some pharmacies offer flavors to add to the medication. Discuss the injection with your Pediatrician. It may also be mixed with a small quantity of vanilla ice cream.
